Mohamed Diaa (just Diaa) started out making ads in Egypt and somehow ended up as Executive Creative Director of Joan’s New York office, leading eBay Global, WNBA, among other stuff. Before that, he was ECD at Ogilvy New York on Samsung, and spent a decade at Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam working on everything from Nike and Instagram to EA Games.
His work has shown up in places like Cannes, D&AD, CNN, Vice, and Time. But he’s especially proud of Nike’s “What Will They Say About You?” which was inspired by stories from his wife and sister about what it meant to grow up being told sport wasn’t for them in the Middle East.
He lives in Brooklyn with his wife. Loves Liverpool F.C. Hates how it takes Rockstar Games 10 years to make one single GTA.
